BA also does not allow you to change your flight merely due to an aircraft change, even if that means a change from Club Suites to the "old" Club World seat. You would need a cancellation or (sufficiently large) schedule change for that to be the case.

So if having a new product matters to you, I can only recommend sticking with Iberia. But if you're willing to take a chance then book onto BA.
that's the advice I figured I'd hear it likely won't be IB's newer a350 so I think my question is which older plane would I rather be stuck with in the event I get the less desirable option
