It does, but it falls into zone 4 (2000-2999 miles) which has long haul-esque RFS pricing.

It does seem rather unfair to be charging long haul Avios rates for a short haul product; I think TLV, AMM & CAI are also affected by this. But BA evidently thinks they can get away with it - in fairness, who's going to stop them?
