I've been to the gated area in which the
Radisson Blu Azuri is located. We stayed in a vacation rental in the area, that shared the beach with the hotel, so I checked out the hotel property.
I cannot say anything about the rooms, only the beach and the pool area. The beach itself is excellent for lying on the beach, reading. Nice palms swaying in the wind, nice views, nice outdoor area with hammocks. The beach is not so good for swimming and snorkling directly at the beach. The water is murky because there is a river nearby.
After our stay at the vaction rental, we stayed at a non-Radisson hotel on Mauritius that is similar priced to the Radisson Azuri. Compared to the Radisson, the beach or our hotel was better for snorkling, swimming, watersports but worse for lying in the sun. The beach of the other hotel was quite full and had a way busier vibe. The beach at the Radisson was very relaxing.
We also went to the Lafayette beach, where the other Radisson named
The Radisson Blu Poste Lafayette is located. It's an ok beach, but nothing special. The beach of the Azuri is nicer. None of these beaches can compare to the top beaches of Mauritius like Le Morne though. The prices for Le Morne are also way higher.
Please note that all non-hotel beaches/public beaches on Mauritius are dirty. Unfortunately they are full of trash left by locals who like to picnic and drink on the beach but don't care much about the trash. The hotel beaches are always clean.
Taking everything into account, I don't think that Mauritius offers good value for the money. It doesn't matter if you choose a Radisson or another hotel. It's a bit expensive for what it is.
