San Gottardo - I really am not sure who it was, but I think it was someone who has a high status on both AFKL and LHG side, perhaps Goldorak, perhaps someone who is more active on M&M forums. But that doesn't much matter.

I for one, am a fan of AFKL Y snacks, from the coconut macaroon through the cheese sandwich through to wraps. Are they great? No. Are they bad? Also no. Yet I would not object if the concept was "we'll remove the food part of Y service and replace it with BoB/preorder".
The problem is, it's not just that. Currently when I fly AFKL, I can count with having a coffee, a juice, a coke, some surprisingly good (for a free minibottle in Y) red wine. All served fairly quickly, quite efficiently, and perhaps get 2 bottles straight away why not.
Most of this is going to go. There's probably going to be some water left, maybe coffee. Juice, a coke? Probably extra. Beer, wine? For sure extra. And can I just buy them? Yes, but again, it's slowing down the service and creating friction.

@ euro-J: I am not sure I would put AF over LH. Currently, it is, but things ebb and flow, next year, AF can decline a bit, LH can improve a bit and they'll flip (KL is however universally worse than LH). What I will say, I was satisfied with BA, but in my experience I would say TP is the best euro-J I have flown.
