XLQ island is great, especially if you like swimming/snorkeling with large turtles. Kenting has better diving if you prefer that tho XLQ has some shipwrecks. Definitely do an outdoor BBQ if you go.

Cab/Uber to shenkeng from Taipei is cheap,fast and easy. You can also pair with maokong or pinglin tea farms, crocodile island and sites to the east.
