Oh hey, I just checked out of the same room 1207

Finished a 3 nights stay here - first two nights with points w/ a SUA, and 3rd night with a FNC. Was fully prepared for them to make me move rooms but they let me stay after I asked about it.

The stay was fantastic, and I really have no complaints here. I feel like I should've gotten the Park Suite though because as others have mentioned, the ADA suite's square footage is inflated by a long hallway that goes nowhere. Rather have gotten the Park Suite for the better (IMO) bathroom design.
  • Room was clean, big, view is as great as promised
  • Checked in at 2:30 pm (room was ready earlier, not sure when), and FD went through Globalist benefits and offered late checkout. I took 2pm since didn't need 4pm
  • Guest service replies were quick via text, and answered my various questions from item requests to breakfast questions
  • Got 3 versions of the breakfast rules
    • Welcome email: One entree, one cold beverage and one hot beverage per registered guest
    • FD: Same as above, but only up to 2 adults (we have no children in the party so not sure did they just not mention it)
    • At NoMi: $60 per person
  • after checking with FD, I then replied back to the email to clarify - and room manager said it is indeed 2 adults, but will allow 3 adults as a courtesy for us. At the end, we ate around $180 per day (we have 3 people), and all of it was waived
  • Room service breakfast for last day. Fully expected to pay the delivery charge + 18% but some ~$30 showing up on my folio it was also waived/credited
  • The pool and spa area looks good enough, but I think it can look nicer to match the rest of the hotel better
  • Location is really good; right next to the Red line, and a 5-15 minute walk to all the tourist areas (Mag Mile, Chicago 360, Lake Michigan, Riverwalk, etc)
  • The staff is a good mix of professional yet not too cold; they are proactively checking to make sure we have everything we need, but not drag on.

All in all, this category 6 hotel is nicer than some of the category 7s I've stayed in (I know it's not a measure of quality, but eh. Could just be California category 7s be overpriced), and I would definitely recommend this hotel to people.
