I am going to Cancun in January. For some reason there’s virtually no same day connection options via PHL JFK MIA like there was previously just a couple via DFW. As I’m travelling in F I wanted to avoid AA so that left the BA A380 with 90. In connection to last flight of the day. I was getting a bit of buyers remorse but the amendment fees to change to go via MIA stopping off for a night at my expense were £420 so I bit left as it. The DFW to CUN flight disappeared and yes was cancelled. I booked via an agent and they initially only offered me the earlier AA DFW flight and I asked to go via MIA. Fare difference is now £4000 so they said no I asked agent to contact American and 30 mins later got rebooked on the MIA flights I wanted at no extra charge so very happy. Have also been booked into F class so. A few more Avios. Only downside is all window seats already pre assigned on the A380:to MIA. FIirst world problems but overall extremely happy.
