I switched to Avis a few years ago but made a Hertz reservation this weekend because Avis didn't open early enough
Vehicle choice on the Gold aisle was sparse but there was a Volvo XC40 so I grabbed that. Unfortunately all downhill from there.
Agent at the exit booth assigned my rental to a cancelled reservation (at a higher rate) instead of the active reservation I had.
Return agent marked the fuel level at 80% despite being filled to the brim.
Took 20 minutes at the counter to get them to remove the fuel charge and correct the rate.
Next time I'll wait the extra 30 minutes for Avis to open.
