Don't forget to make a reservation for the Fuji Speedway Circuit Driving Experience in advance! They book up quick. Did that and it was one of the best experience of my life. The price has more than doubled since I did it in April but imo it's still very worth it. It's now about $60 for the car rental + 3 (guided) laps around Fuji Speedway. You need an international driving permit and if you choose a manual transmission car there's a little 'driving test' before you go into the circuit.
I've planned on stopping by this hotel in December and I am thinking of renting my own car from the Shin-Fuji station and partaking in the circuit experience with it. The cost for getting on the track itself seems to be cheaper with no prior reservations necessary. Also gives me a chance to drive to the hotel directly from the station and around the area. I believe there's a Toyota Rent-a-Car at Shin-Fuji, which offers GR Yaris/Toyota 86s - not quite the GR Corolla or the GR Supra that the circuit can provide, but not bad for a few guided laps.
