We recently returned from a 3-night stay, which felt like just the right amount of time to experience everything this high-end property offers. Overall, if you're considering a trip to Seychelles or combining it with a Greater Africa itinerary it's a worthwhile destination.

Property & Service The property itself is brand new, impeccably designed, and incredibly well-maintained. What really stood out to us, though, was the level of service. Upon landing, we were greeted by both the General Manager and our personal concierge, Viktoriia, whose attention to detail made our stay exceptional. I would highly recommend requesting her if possible. From the moment we arrived, many staff greeted us by name, reinforcing the property’s "high-touch" approach.

Seclusion & Privacy This resort is extremely private—more so than many Maldivian properties we've visited. We felt like we had the island nearly to ourselves, only spotting a few guests during meals. In addition were were the only guests on our flights to/from the island.

Diamond Benefits
  • Room Upgrade: We were upgraded to the Hawksbill Villa, easily the most valuable benefit of the stay.
  • Breakfast: A-la-carte with no restrictions—order as much as you like, no bill at the end.
  • Welcome Amenity: Champagne and a decadent dessert.
  • Departure Gift: Personalized bike name tags and a charming small painting.
We did notice a few cuts. Despite reading about a sunset cruise and classes, none were offered during our stay. Additionally, the Peacock coffee bar is no longer complimentary—we were charged 550 SCR for coffee on the first day, and after that, we chose to skip it.

Dining While the venues themselves were stunning, food was probably the weakest aspect of the stay, echoing similar feedback from other guests. Fresh ingredients, particularly vegetables, seemed in short supply. That said, the staff did a great job accommodating dietary restrictions, and the meals at La Maison de Epices, especially breakfast and dinner, were very enjoyable. These were on par with other luxury resorts, but the overall dining experience could use improvement.

Payment We had put down a deposit through LXR Mango House in June ($400 total), but at checkout, they accepted Amex, with the charge posting as "WALDORF ASTORIA SEYCHELLES PLATTE ISLA."I’ll update once I confirm if the Aspire credit posts correctly.

Flight Booking We used Hilton points for the flight, which I booked through Hilton Experiences. This was a good value, particularly if you take advantage of Hilton’s point bonus periods (100,000 points for $500), avoiding additional service fees and taxes.

Flight out.
One the last day Luggage is picked up at 10:15, at 10:45 you will checkout with a 11:45pm flight. We had a 6 hours to burn before our flight and had booked a 4 hour tour for $146 from Ocean Blue Travel ([email protected]). The hotel also offers a 4 hour tour for 200€ or 2 hour tour for 100€ but we didn't find out about that until we had already booked.

Overall would recommend especially you've been to the Maldives or Bora Bora and looking for something more secluded/ private.
