It served me without failure for all those years. The handle was getting sticky due to be dented over time. I mailed it in to them and they fixed it free of charge. I had to pay for mailing it to them but they covered the cost to return it to me. Took all of 6 weeks. I wish it were instantaneous but 6 weeks is reasonable on a bag 16 years old and million plus miles.

I strongly recommend Briggs and Riley. Alternatively, albeit heavier, I recommend Luggage Works. They are built for pilots. I have one new (shoulder) flight bag (to carry pilot gear) that is built incredibly well and well thought out. I have a friend with 20+ million miles on his Luggage Works and another with at least 10 million on his. They do require maintenance from time to time but are built to last.
the other thing about TravelPro - they got bought by a private equity firm in 2016. As is with most PE-acquired companies these days, product quality goes down fast in an attempt to squeeze out $$$ to achieve the hurdle rate
