I guess if you’re used to Asian carriers or are very introverted, the drink situation on TK is perhaps suboptimal. But I’ve never had a problem getting a drink in the middle of meal service; just ask or use the call button. Further, if you know you want a certain wine with a meal, just ask for it with your starter. And for mid flight between meals, I’ve never had a problem using the call button. Are TK FAs as proactive as SQ or as subservient as QR? No. But imho they’re better than most FAs on European or US3 carriers. And fwiw I’ve actually made some decent chit chat with some of the FAs without knowing a lick of turkish (and in one instance, the elongated conversations I was having with a “chef” became borderline tedious and annoying even, ha!).
