I had booked 2 biz class tickets tickets on AF using miles a few weeks ago. Each ticket was rough 90k miles (ie, just over 180k miles total). Today I got an alert from Seat Spy that the same flight now has 2 biz class awards available for about 60k miles each. Kind of annoying but I get it happens.


1) I assume I cant just get the mileage reduction credited back to my account?

2) What are my options... do I need to call AF? I think (not sure) I would need to pay a $70 per ticket change fee? No way around that (I have no AF status if it matters). Or do I need to completely cancel the reservation and rebook brand new?

I assume it just becomes a calculation of whether $140 (for 2 tix) is worth getting back 60k miles?
