This thread talks mostly about issues/consequences after the overlapping stays have completed, but would there be any issues before the stay? For context due to uncertain travel plans I want to hold overlapping reservations at two separate Marriott hotels (in different countries) with the intention to cancel one of them before the actual check in date of either stay. Is there any risk that one of them could get auto-cancelled before the stay? Anything else I should be concerned about?
