I've never flown airBaltic before they are coming up as the best option for a trip I want to take later this year. The cheapest green fare seems to include a cabin bag which is all I need.

I would be travelling with my partner, and we would rather sit beside each other on the plane, however, it is not a complete disaster if we are seated apart.

I'm not too fussed where we sit on the plane, so would rather not pay extra to book a seat. What happens in these circumstances when we check in online. Is it likely (although not guaranteed) that we will be allocated seating together, or do airBaltic deliberately split people up who haven't paid for a seat in the way that I think maybe Ryanair does?
