I don't recall whether SGS offers free breakfast on reward stay. Certainly the Royal Orchid does for Platinums. The RO does have a lounge but when I was there ( on a reward stay) over Chrsitmas and New Year the lounge was so crowded that I elected to take breakfast in the other restaurants ( no charge)...and this was full buffet rather than the continental offered in the lounge. The lounge, on the 26th floor, has a great view along the river...and is a perfect place to watch the sunset with a drink. Unfortunately the renovations to the lounge have made it more like a cafeteria...and when crowded the experience is something like watching a plague of locusts moving through a wheat field as people rush for the ( admittedly delicious) snacks. Less busy times of the year this isn't such a problem. All Starwood properties in BKK treat platinum members very well indeed...never a problem with an upgrade, almost always a junior or executive suite, never a question about late checkout, etc
