As a Darwin local I would do that. We’re kind of stiffed here as there isn’t a huge range of flights to pick from. If you miss it I would push to travel via ADL rather than being rebooked onto one of the red eyes. Anything via MEL or BNE is likely to be as tight if not tighter as all the flights (other than ADL or ASP) arrive into Darwin around the same time usually


eta: it looks like some days there is a midday BNE flight which may open up possibilities. Avoid any JQ rebooking option unless you have to
