Also, it will be past midnight in Europe, will I be able to reach someone at that time? I guess I may not be able to cancel the ticket online?

Edit: Oh, I actually remember I once had a situation where I tried to cancel an award ticket and they told me award tickets can only be cancelled up until the day BEFORE departure.
I effectively lost that ticket, it was an extremely annoying situation because I called the previous day, but that person was incompetent and asked me to call back the next day when the EB team would be back. And then they told me it was too late...
But maybe that was a partner award? I can't recall the details right now...
