Next flight was ATL-ROA and the Endeavor Crew went all out. First FA handed me a nice written note that was signed by the whole crew. I thought that was all, but the second FA and the Captain came up a few mins later as boarding was wrapping up saying that the crew wanted to take a selfie with me. A few mins passed as they arranged this but they ended up having the gate agent come down and take a pic of the entire plane to celebrate. A bit over the top, but a nice gesture none the less. The service they delivered on such a short flight was incredible as well. PDB's, Multiple passes of the snack basket, drink refills. all on a sub 1 hour flight. Wish the DL staff could execute like this...
Have you considered the possibility that the crew on the LAX-ATL flight were not informed of the fact you were hitting 1MM on that flight (instead of just assuming they knew and were ignoring you)? I don't think it's that complicated. If you really want to be recognized, then give DL some advance notice about your crossing flight. But don't be surprised if you don't get any recognizition if you don't bother to tell them in advance.
