What is your Priority Club status?

Diamond

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?
Yes

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked and received King Standard
An upgrade showed on the app, but reverted to the booked room by the time of check-in – likely due to full occupancy

How are the rooms?
The base room feels very small especially when the sofa bed is out, and the sofa doesn't face the TV anyway. Given that the plot of land isn't exactly short of space, they could have made rooms a bit bigger. The buildings are also rather old and creaky.

The floor is carpeted and slightly scruffy.

Severe shortage of sockets and needed to unplug fixtures to charge phones. Limited space on bedside tables.

It was the middle of winter and very windy, and although the air con was able to heat the room, the bathroom stayed freezing. Poor seal on shower cubicle resulting in severe flooding despite pointing the shower head away from the door.

How is the exec. lounge?
None

What was good and what was bad?
Received breakfast and bottle of wine as diamond amenity

Breakfast was excellent on all mornings, even though it was extremely busy with lots of kids (as it was school holidays). Some of the hot food was excessively salty.

Bar food was slightly pricey but good. Can be ordered by QR code on table and charged to room

Declined housekeeping but didn’t get the 500 points/night for doing so.

Whole property’s internet connection went down on final night and morning of stay, fortunately mobile data still worked. As a consequence the hotel was unable to take card payments at check-out, although in order to avoid the 1.9% card surcharge I intended to, and did, pay in cash.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?
The rate was A$191/night and I would stay again at this price if I wanted to be around here.

Stay was in July 2024 but forgot to post until now. Earlier I wrote more with photos on the Master Thread
