Ahh - now that you mention it, that makes a lot of sense. There was a basket of something that was usually covered in a napkin/towel...would make sense that it would be karjalanpiirakka since I don't recall seeing it elsewhere on the buffet. (Pastries, whether they be sweet or savory, are not something that I normally seek out - so my reviews are usually lacking in that department. :P)
