Yes it’s pretty terrible. Missed a connection last year at DFW resulting in an overnight stay in DFW at BA’s expense. Last year they were trialling a new fast track security service which you needed to pre-book. Not sure if it still exists? It at least shaved a few minutes off the whole farce of needing to re-check bags and re-clear security.
