I've stayed in the ibis Budget Osaka Umeda a while ago, really cramped room but if your main thing is to just sleep there then it does the job. Really cheap in comparison to the other choices.

Staff are really kind and the hotel itself is right outside a 7-Eleven, plus this Parisian-style cake shop that is always busy/in high demand.

The metro station is literally just outside within a 1 minute walk (Higashi-Umeda), but it's more like a 'gateway' station in that you will need to get off another station to go to the 'important metro lines'.

Suprisingly, ibis Budgets in Japan participate in Accor Live Limitless (unlike their European counterparts) so they'll recognise your status, and you'll get status nights/points/etc. Welcome drinks were two alcoholic choices (a beer and some grape thing), green tea and this lemon tea thing, if I recall correctly. Late checkout was offered too (although Japanese late checkout is 14:00 generally).
