To put that in perspective, taking LHR-Asia as example, the standard Avios required for one way J redemption is around 75000. Assuming 1 Avios costs 2p if you buy it, £200 extra in surcharge translates to about 10000 Avios extra for the redemption but I assume most people don't actually buy Avios so the devaluation for redemption is probably somewhere closer to 15-20%.
