This is my second stay at the Le Meridien and was booked about an hour before arrival. Overall, the property is still a fine, though imperfect, choice. Here are my impressions from this stay:
Pros:
- Bed is pretty comfortable - medium-firm foam mattress with good shaping to your body, plush (maybe slightly thick) pillows, covers with a bit of thickness (fine for poor AC)
- Shower pressure itself is quite good
- Lounger couch was comfortable
- 4 PM late checkout offered
- Voucher for wine or beer now includes the option of a scoop of gelato - yummy
- Breakfast is still quite good - good omelets and hashbrowns, made-to-order pancakes available from servers - go early, buffet space is small
Neutral:
- Only “upgraded” to Executive room as that was what was available at Noon when I arrived (booked an hour before) - I wanted to check in after long flight
- WiFi is just “okay” - watching YouTube was about the max of what it could handle
Cons:
- Shower head holder would not stay put and would constantly slide down to the bottom of the rail every 20 seconds or so
- No in-room Ambassador welcome gift
I would consider coming back as the location is convenient.
