IMO, the long haul cold plate is usually rather nice and would be 100 times better than the weirdo breakfast served on EU short haul. Of course it likely costs 3 times as much, so likely not feasible. It’s a little schizophrenic that AF spends next to nothing on short haul food, but FAs are super proactive about topping off champagne glasses. I’d happily forego my third glass of champagne on an 80 min flight if that allowed AF to spend an extra €3 on food.
not happening as Unions and AF agreed that with 2 FAs in Business Class it is too difficult to have a more substantiel service with more than one option and some hot food. Wondering how other airline FAs are coping. Hope BA, A3 or AZ flight attendants are coping well with having to use ovens and asking passengers for their choice of meal, must be terribly hard.
