Akoara is small - no big supermarket. Is a supermarket at CHC airport 1km from the terminal.
Many thanks, we are actually flying through SYD to SIN and its an 0600 flight from CHC, (BA ticket, QF metal), so planning to get back to Christchurch late the evening before. But your points on Arthur's pass are well received. We went to Akora last year and really liked the vibe, and your comments on supermarkets noted, we'll certainly stock up before leaving Christchurch.
