I can trump that. I got a full refund for a flight I canceled, and was never charged for the flight I replaced it with. It paid for a new kitchen in the Fulham postage stamp I was inhabiting at the time.

Checked my statement and I was credited for the flight I should have taken 3 days earlier but didn't and for the actual flight I did take.

No idea why and still have the points and miles, but its only LHR-LIS so don't care whether they want them back or not
I'll wait until I've actually flown the ticket (due to be the week after next), and let you know. I guess if the miles/points don't post for the flight I actually take, then no foul no fault. I'll bump the thread otherwise.
