That's disappointing to hear, though the suite looks nice enough if you discount all the broken stuff. As a historical preservation fan, I normally prefer old over new in situations like this (e.g., PH Buenos Aires), trusting that a PH will have done a good enough job restoring and maintaining the old building to appropriate standards, but in this case it sounds like new might be the way to go? I'm booked in a Park Suite (the standard suite) FWIW--not sure if those even exist in both buildings.
