Saving Money, as Usual, on the BA Holidays US Website vs UK Website

I just booked and paid for a hotel stay in Berlin on the BA Holidays US website. Before booking, I checked the price in GBP for the exact same booking via the BA Holidays UK website and discovered that by booking and paying in USD I saved almost £5 a day for the booking. I have a UK based CC and could have used that as well, if the price in GBP's was better.

I've booked a number of hotel stays with BA Holidays in various cities and have always found their USD prices to be better than the prices listed in £. What's the deal here?
