I would not consider this location safe. It used to be but not anymore. Crime in the Bahnhofsviertel has gone up tremendously since COVID. They've recently banned knifes in the area because there are so many stabbings and other violent crimes.

Our travel secretary put a colleague into the 25 hours a few months back. He is in his late 20s and skinny. When he went to the Hauptbahnhof late at night to get some food (hotel restaurant was already closed), he was approached if he wants to score heroin 3 (three!) times.
