Partner Earning: Aer Lingus / AA
Hi all, I wanted to check thoughts on Alaska accruals from partner flights. I am looking at an itinerary (single reservation) that is essentialy Europe to Canada (4 flights in total). Tickets are purchased through AA but when you check the fare basis on the AA site, 2 of the flights have Aer Lingus codes, i.e. EIxx and the others have AA codes (and operated by AA / BA). The Aer Lingus flights, in this case, are operated by Aer Lingus on flight 1 and Air Canada on flight 2. I am expecting that flight 1 will earn on the Aer Lingus rate (200% as business class and marketed as EI even though sold on AA site) and Air Canada will be nil. Is that right? AND if so is there any way to get some earning off the Air Canada leg, i.e. just credit flights 1 & 2 to Aer Lingus or perhaps switch the loyalty number for the 2nd flight, if possible? On flights 3 & 4, I would just switch loyalty to my Alaska FFN (and earn 150%). Experience and thoughts welcome.
