SYD-MEL or SYD-BNE can be a bit of a hurry-up hustle because it's such a short sector for actual 'level' flying time, but SYD-AKL is certainly long enough to deliver an amazing business class service.
I thought this until I flew CX for 1hr from HKG to TPE. All these markets have much to learn compared to the top Asian carriers on short haul flights (I did have some nitpicking on CXs new a321N seats but thats more odd design decisions for new planes than comparison with QF 737J).
