Personally if you're looking at either GLA or EDI I would say GLA every time. I find the check-in/security and lounge better. The lounge especially is a better place to start a leisure break.

You also have the option to do start the trip ex DOM to LON the day before as long as there's no more than 24 hours between flights .

INV is a great starting point but is only two services a day.
