Yes, below is the message when I go to "change" a TA-booked/issued flight directly on UA.com. Our corporate discount is practically zero, and of course we forfeit the residual anyway on the TA booking. Interesting to know that this may be a workaround for that. I have made changes this way, usually to up-fare, and haven't had any issues, but I've always then flown the ticket as re-booked.

You purchased this corporate discounted ticket through a third party, so we encourage you to contact the original ticketing agency to make changes. Changing your flight here may cause you to lose any corporate discounts applied by the agency and you won’t receive a future flight credit if your new flight costs less than your old flight.
