Now days many people get many ff miles/points/avios from non flying activities (~credit card, hotel, shopping etc)
Some ffp's are calendar based and others based on joining date. For some families that date overlap can help keep-renew status as some status benefits can accrue to travel partners. But will be a struggle to get mid-top OW status with that travel profile.
thanks for telling me about that and for his FFP Oneworld Alliance is CX Asia Miles worth getting for him because everyone else in the family had it when they decided for CX to be their first Oneworld Alliance FFQ.
In the other forum I'll make a sky team Alliance version of the same topic this time involving Skypass. It has to do to the fact that everyone else had skypass since November 2006.
