I’m wondering if anyone can give me some pointers…
  • I have a BA tier point run booked in November, ticketed on AA
  • The return route is SFO-LAX-JFK-HEL-LHR-BCN
  • Finnair has cancelled my flight JFK-HEL and this segment has disappeared entirely from my ticket
  • I have asked AA to move forward all return sectors by one day, when the AY flight JFK-HEL is running
  • Despite seats being available, none of the agents I have spoken to or dealt with on X have been able to reticket preserving the routing
  • The agents say that they can select the desired flights on their system, but they are shown a message ‘unconfirmed’
  • I have HUACA 3 times and this has been consistent
  • Rereouting via DFW or PHX is possible, but this would not generate the needed TP to retain OWE
  • The ticket is currently sitting in abeyance, with the return transatlantic sector missing
I am genuinely stumped at how to get around this case of ‘computer says no’
