You are right that the web doesn't see them but I successfully booked two TPE-AKL in biz next Feb for 59500 miles + 92€ each on the app this week. So it's not completely broken.
I have also found many China Eastern awards that completely disappeared from the app the next day ...
I aslo figured out that when there are prices in the header in the app but no flights below, you can usually find the flights on the web...
Weird stuff is happening but you gotta persevere
