I'm about to do a domestic transfer in Delhi. Contemplating that, I wonder if an official explanation about why serial security checks are required on a connecting journey. It seems that, say, Amritsar's security regime is fine for Amritsar departures, but not sufficient to satisfy the requirements of the connecting airport.
Don't even get me started on how stupid & useless this procedure is.
Over the years I've had a number of discussions with senior officials in the Civil Aviation Ministry, including the Minister, about this & they all admit that the process is unnecessary but it seems like no one is willing to do anything about it.
