well it was 2H35, but the question I originally posed covered a HBO transfer. Unfortunately my trip started with a. Jetstar leg, and they were surprisingly unaccommodating about 10kg across a modest bag and backpack combination. So i had to wait for bag delivery in T3. And if the bussing of passengers took forever, trucking the bags took forever x 2.

The limiting factor was indeed the bag wait. The queue for immigration was a tense time, but that ran parallel to bag-wait.

I'm about to do a domestic transfer in Delhi. Contemplating that, I wonder if an official explanation about why serial security checks are required on a connecting journey. It seems that, say, Amritsar's security regime is fine for Amritsar departures, but not sufficient to satisfy the requirements of the connecting airport.
