IMO opinion the access rules for domestic/tb/int'l are not clearly defined. By virtue you have access on a departing flight the particular lounge could be implied, but its not specifically stated that way in the t&c. I also don't know what status you have, which could result in you having arrivals access to domestic lounges.

With all this it has been documented in the past that access to the domestic MLL has been granted, especially with it being an easy walk to the int'l gates. And I full understand why the domestic would be preferable to the int'l during busy periods. I think you probably just got the wrong agent.
