Yes, I understand that miles/points cost money... and no, I dont expect to get things for free. But, some of these price differences just seem a little over the top - to say the least. I wonder what others feel about these price differences...? Also, this makes me wonder if I need to start comparison shopping hotel rooms instead of just jumping on the bandwagon for the sake of loyalty points......? (sigh)

Here the results of a search I did a few minutes ago..... I need to book a full size Van for a Soccer Trip to Arizona in Jan 2025. Pickup and dropoff at AZA. Both price quotes are for the same vehicle (Ford Transit Full Size Van - seats 12). 5 day rental.

Price using AAdvantage Cars: $1,930.77 (Avis)
Price using Avis Website: $1,481.96 (Avis)

Its worth noting that the Avis direct price is without any discount codes, I will update this price once I use my Wizard number and some discount code I should be able to find......
