Finishing up a 5 night stay and while the property certainly is far from "aspirational" I was pleasantly surprised more often than disappointed.

Pros: Staff that actually seem to care that the customer has a pleasant stay which ime, is all too rare these days.

Booked cheapest room 2 days before stay when the app was was showing wide availability. Looked at app morning of arrival to find hotel sold out. Assumed I would be given base room at least for 1 night (Sat) & hoped I could move the next day.

Pleasantly surprised to find I had already been upgraded to the Queen Studio Suite Gold. Maybe not to the best room but for 1 person its fine. The glass of prosecco at checkin was a nice touch.

Service recovery: Hotel had a 12hr blackout & I was proactively assured I wouldn't be charged for that night. When it was clear no breakfast would be available, again proactively I was told to have breakfast at a nearby restaurant, bring back the check and the bill would be reimbursed. Both were handled as promised without any issues or pushback.

Housekeeping leaves a note if you have a DND sign with hours that service is available. So no wondering if they haven't gotten to your room yet.

Flexible breakfast: Globalists get 1 breakfast per guest per day.. Breakfast runs to 1:30 pm & no one really cares if the 2nd coupon is used later or to get something to go.

Cons: Room is on the 3rd floor below the pool deck and the thumping bass from the music was unwelcome but tolerable. After all it is SoBe.

The glass walled shower already discussed in prior posts is truly bizarre. The room also lacks outlets and usb ports. However a call to the front desk to make sure I hadn't overlooked outlet placement resulted in an engineer at my door with a power strip and making sure the room clock was working properly.

I enjoyed my stay much more at the Dream than I had at the Confidante and wouldn't hesitate to return especially with the current low rates & double EQN
