I would second HadesNL's recommendation:
  • Marriott offers Gold and Platinum status when holding select cards from their partners.
  • Hilton does the same with Gold and Diamond via AMEX.
  • IHG features Platinum status with their Chase card.
With Hyatt, that would cover the biggest chains, save Accor (which doesn't seem to offer a credit card that I could tell).
