Agreed, it's a big LMAO having everyone say "oh the Surpass/Hilton Business card pays for itself if you cash out the quarterly credit for a Hilton AMEX GC". Which is why I nuked the Hilton Business card from orbit when my first renewal AF came due post card changes. My time has value, and I don't want to spend it arguing with clueless front desk associates who don't know how to deal with this form of payment. I have some gift cards that I'll liquidate over time (hopefully I'll find someone who can deal with them).
