Just remember that the 150,000 Fly On Points have to come from JAL group flights.

Generally I don't believe in splitting miles in multiple accounts, but I would look hard whether Qantas (if your Melbourne location is still valid) can offer more benefits by having status on your home carrier. But really depends on your flying patterns.
