As far as I was able to ascertain quickly, no, they stayed up to modern Viet Nam but not further out to the islands, not until after the war
First commercial flights to Saigon (under Air Orient brand, before the merger) took about 10 days, via Marseilles - Athens - Beyrut - Damascus - Karachi - Calcutta - Rangoon
fun fact: La Crevette logo came to Air France from Air Orient.
