Everyone dislikes they way you cant use the Discovery Dollars while in booking process, is there any news about implementing this? Because some D$ are expiring so fast that you cant really make use of them. I would love to make bookings and using the $ before the expire date.
Bonus questions:
1. If I transfer D$ to another member (like my wife) will they still have the same expiry?
2. I already met the requirements for another year of titanium, but still in the app it reads it will expire end of year. Is that correct and will just update on the 1st of january?

- Transferring Discovery Dollars: The expiry date(s) of transferred Discovery Dollars will remain the same after the transfer. The soonest expiring Discovery Dollars in the sender’s account will be automatically selected first for the transfer.
- Titanium Status: The member's profile will be reviewed and automatically updated at the end of the year. If you’ve met the requirements for Titanium status, the update should reflect at the start of the new year.

Yep, I already used it with Lore Group earlier this month booking a stay with them in London. Check post #640 from GHA Insider higher up the page. There are few, not many, but a few at least, that allow you to use Discovery Dollars at the point of booking.
It looks like this below, and combined with the possibility of purchasing D$ with a potential discount once in a while, it is certainly more feasible and makes me far more likely to stay if I can plan to purchase D$ in advance. According to the invoice from Lore Group, it is started off with a GHA Discovery Dollars credit at the start of the bill. However, I believe you cannot use it for taxes and some other fees, so you still need to pay some, I am afraid. I got caught out by that when I did it recently, unfortunately.
JoeCrystal You’re correct that DISCOVERY Dollars can’t be used to cover taxes and certain additional fees. While they offer significant savings, some costs will need to be settled separately. We appreciate your understanding and feedback on this.
