It's an award booking. So because of limited flight options and not much flexibility on dates, this seemed like the best option currently.

We arrive in the evening so plan is for family to spend the morning in the city, I'll just kill some time at the lounge while they're out. We've had long layovers at ZRH previously, although nowhere this long. There is airside transit hotel which we've stayed at on multiple occasions for overnight layovers. It's kind of pricey and not the best, but works.
