ZRH >24 hour connection

Hoping someone may have answer to these questions. Trying to see if I need to change my ticket to reduce the connection time.

I have a 24hr 10min connection in ZRH. My passport allows me to transit schengen visa free, but I can't enter schengen (i.e. airside only, non-schengen to non-schengen connection).

1. Is there a specific time limit for the visa free transit? I wasn't able to find anything online if the airside visa free transit has a time limit (e.g. 24 hours) since I believe usually transit has to be within 24 hours. I do see that for those that require airport transit visa, it is limited to 24 hours.

2. Would I have any trouble boarding my flight from the origin? I'll be flying from HKG-IST-ZRH and then from ZRH-EWR next day all on 1 PNR. Worried that because the connection is > 24hour layover I may be denied boarding. If it makes any difference, HKG-ZRH is TK and ZRH-EWR is LX.

3. Would I be able to get boarding passes for all my flights at HKG, or due to the > 24h I'd have to visit transit desk at ZRH?

4. While I won't have any checked bags, I'm travelling with family (same PNR) that CAN enter schengen and they will have checked bags. I see that LX allows bag drop off at ZRH up to 23 hours before departure. For my family members that will have luggage, could it be checked through, or they will have to reclaim in ZRH and drop off again?

5. LX sites mentions: For flights to the USA, due to the requirements of the American authorities, all travellers in a group (e.g. family) must be present at bag drop. Due to this, is #4 even possible for the family members I'm travelling with to reclaim and drop bags off while I stay airside?

Thanks!
